We’ve been performing SaltFacial treatments for years and we’ve done thousands of them. In a nutshell, the SaltFacial is fantastic because it can deliver significant clinical results for almost any common aesthetic concern. And it does so without being uncomfortable or resulting in downtime. Treatments are completely customizable, so we are able to treat patients with aging concerns (think pigmentation, fine lines, texture), patients with acne and moderate scarring, and also those just looking to maintain healthy and youthful skin.
Treatment Details
A SaltFacial is a 45-60 minute treatment and is usually performed in a series of four treatments. Each treatment employs the same 3 steps, however each step is customized for your specific needs.
- Sea Salt Resurfacing – the skin is exfoliated with sea salt which removes the outer layer of dead skin cells. The degree of resurfacing is customized to your skin and is applied with a positive-pressure handpiece, making it less irritating than other devices that typically use suction. Sea salt is an outstanding exfoliant as it naturally cleans the skin, draws moisture into the cells and detoxifies the tissue.
- Aesthetic Ultrasound – once the skin is clean & exfoliated, we apply a self-neutralizing chemical peel along with a stem-cell based gel which is worked into the skin with a cavitational ultrasound handpiece. The ultrasound mechanism pushes cells apart, allowing penetration of the peel deep into the dermal layer of the skin.
- LED Light Therapy – the final step of the SaltFacial is a 20-minute phototherapy treatment with a combination of wavelengths adapted to your skin’s needs. These therapeutic wavelengths are highly specific to reach targeted chromophores in the skin and help with healing, inflammation, collagen stimulation, circulation, and/or eliminating harmful surface bacteria.
