Dr. Erin Ducharme
Erin Ducharme, MD, FAAD is a board-certified dermatologist serving Iowans in Greater Des Moines and surrounding areas from her Clive clinic. Prior to opening her clinic in 2018, Dr. Ducharme served as Chief Dermatologist at the VA in Des Moines where she was honored to serve our nations veterans. Before her time at the VA, she set up and ran the Dermatology practice at the Iowa Clinic in West Des Moines.
She completed her medical school training at Columbia University in New York. After medical school, she did her internship at New York University and then her dermatology residency at Texas A&M in Temple, TX. During her residency, she received extensive surgical training under the watch of one of the founders of the American Society for Mohs Surgery. She is currently Vice President and President-Elect of the Iowa Dermatological Society. Since 2019, she has served as a board member on the American Society for Mohs Surgery.
Originally from southern Iowa, Dr. Ducharme is happy to be back in Iowa to practice medicine. Her professional interests include surgical dermatology and teaching residents and medical students. She lives in Clive with her husband and five children.
